Canada

If you choose to go to Canada, you must appreciate a certain lifestyle, inclined to adaptation and adventurous. In fact, first of all, it’s necessary to be able to live with a rigid climate.

That said, however, the atmosphere and the natural landscapes of this territory are able to charm us every time.

There are also metropolises that deserve to have our full attention as tourists curious about architecture and history.

In short, Canada isn’t worthy of being considered the unlucky cousin of America 😉

Nature

The landscape, the flora and the fauna of this country are just one of the reasons to visit it.

The Canadian territory is mostly green (or white, depending on the season), as the cities are concentrated in a strip of 300 km in the south, where the climate is milder.

The north is entirely covered by tundra, the southern plains are covered with grasses, while dense coniferous forests cover the Appalachian mountains, the coastal chain and the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

The animals that you might encounter are marmots, or ermines and beavers, lynxes and wolves, grizzly bears and white bears in the polar areas. In the south there are moose, caribou, reindeer, bison.

Food and Wine

What you could eat and drink in this country

The food and wine origins are English, French, Italian and Polish, so the cuisine is varied and also offers dishes worthy of a taste.

On the Atlantic coast you can binge on fresh fish, seafood and lobster.

In Quebec of roast chicken, in beef Alberta, on the Pacific coast of fresh salmon. It’s also worth trying the bison, moose or caribou meat, the fried marmot, the Brome lake duck, the Ontario bacon, the Fiddlehead wild ferns and … the maple syrup made famous by Grandma Duck. The excellent local wines are of French origin and come from the Okanagan valley (British Columbia).

When to go

Spring and autumn are more or less cold or mild depending on the region, but they are the best seasons to go to Canada.

In summer the climate is hot and humid (especially in Québec, where it reaches 35 ° C), while in winter temperatures go easly down to … polar level, but in certain regions it’s really worth it.
