What is the best season to visit New York? I received this question from Paola, who dreams of going to New York for a lifetime. She would like to spend the Christmas holidays with the Christmas atmosphere and decorations.

Obviously I am talking for myself and for that part of the population that, during summer evenings, put a pullover on, or that even at two o’clock in the middle of summertime is walking around in the city without spilling a drop of sweat.

For everyone else, probably New York in winter is not so bad.

However, the season that everyone agree on is autumn.

Any rain? Yes, perhaps, but acceptable temperature to be able to stay outdoor and see the Big Apple the all day. Turning without looking like the Michelin man is another advantage, not to mention the volume the suitcase would take. And then no one forbids you to take refuge in one of the city’s cafés and have a hot drink.

And then … Can you imagine the colours Central Park during this season? It would be worth it just for that, especially from the top of an helicopter.

And this is how Paola asked me to design her dreamer journey as soon as possible, for November, in a still mild and fermenting New York for Christmas preparations.
