Sleddog
The sleddog race is dedicated to snow, animal and wildlife enthusiasts.
The dog sledding will make you experience the thrill of running in snowy landscapes that will remind you Balto and White Fang, but definetly less tragic ๐
HOW IT WORKS
Sleddog racing is a winter sport practiced on snowy or icy terrain with dog sleds and guided by a musher.
Dogs are specifically trained for the activity. The most used breeds are Husky, Greenlandic, Samoyed and Malamute.
The pack is generally composed of 2 to 16 dogs. During excursions are usually used 4 to 6 dogs.
After a short brief about how to give commands to the dogs and slow down, the musher takes position behind the sled and follows the instructor’s pack.
A passenger can sit on the sled.
WHEN TO GO
In order to ride the sled, the ground must be covered by a sufficient layer of snow.
Winter, or the whole year where the snow never melts, is the best season to ride a dog sled.
